Here at Commerce Sync, we believe a company is only as good as the employees who build it. We’re proud to have an incredibly talented team and we’d love for you to get to know some of our employees a little better.

Meet Nick Wilson, Operations Manager at Commerce Sync

What do you do at Commerce Sync?

I am the intersection between development and operations. I manage the applications in our data center, including the components that run our products including Commerce Sync. I’m responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of our product applications.

What is your favorite thing about working here?

We have a really great work environment. As an organization, we’re able to get a lot done in a very short amount of time because everyone is super smart and talented. I like that every day presents a new challenge, it makes my job exciting and interesting and keeps me motivated.

Tell us something unique about yourself.

I don’t know how to put this, but I’m kind of a big deal. People know me.

In my spare time, I am a DJ at nightclubs and parties around town. I’m heavily involved in the electronic music scene in Colorado and have been for the past 15 years.

What’s your favorite Denver neighborhood?

I definitely have love for Capitol Hill – it’s one of the oldest neighborhoods in Denver and I like the mix of new and old. It’s close to Downtown as well, so there’s always something going on. My wife and I used to live there and the people in the neighborhood really support the local businesses and restaurants – some of my favorites include Jelly, Snarf’s Sandwiches and Potager.

What’s the best vacation you’ve ever been on?

For our honeymoon, my wife and I spent two weeks in New Zealand. It was someplace we’d always wanted to go and it lived up to all of our expectations – it was absolutely gorgeous! One of our best memories was while staying at a Bed & Breakfast in Dunedin. We woke up at 4am, piled into a van and crept through a colony of sleeping sea lions so we could watch the yellow-eyed penguins come out of the brush and onto the beach before taking off into the ocean for a day of fishing.
